HTMLの特殊文字について

htmlには「特殊文字」と呼ばれるものがあります。

「特殊文字」とは「それ自体に意味をもっている文字」のことです。

例えば、「<」はhtmlのタグに使われるものなので、その文字は機械からすると「タグの先頭」という意味を持っています。

なので、「<」と書いても画面には表示されません。機械に「プログラミングとしての命令の一部」として判断されてしまうからです。

もし、ただの文字として表示をしたい場合には、普通に書かずに「特殊文字」としての「文字表記」で書く必要があります。

文字表記の書き方

例えば、「<」を文字として画面に表示する場合、「<」と書きます。

文字表記は必ず「&(アンド、アンパサンドとも言う)」が先頭につき、その後に英数字が続き、「;(セミコロン)」で終わる形式になります。

以下に各特殊文字をただの文字として画面に表示する場合の「文字表記」を記載しますので参考にしてください。
